About Me

Welcome to my cozy collection of thoughts and favorite things! I am glad you stopped by today.

My name is Hannah. I live in a small-town turned big in North Texas. Most of the time you will find me wrapped in a quilt with coffee in one hand a pen in the other and two cats at my feet. I am a believer in my God who saved my life and continues to lead me down the path of life. I am also a writer, dreamer, reader and do my best to be a good friend. When I am not wrapped in a quilt, I am usually living out of a suitcase at a pet sitting client's house, finishing up my BA in Writing through Grand Canyon University, having fun with my family, or a camera! I enjoy small moments, loud music, sunrises and a good story.

Ok, Gypsy started back in 2008, under the name Peculiar Treasures, a venue to channel my teenage angst/poetry then evolved into sharing my life as a budding young woman. Finally, in 2011 it became a space to keep up with family back home as I transitioned to a college in Oklahoma (the “Ok” in the Ok, Gypsy). My life quickly shifted early in my freshman year as God lead me through a season of deep pain and loss and brought me to a place of restoration and surrender. In 2016 I decided I wanted to wipe this space clean and start writing again with a renewed since of direction, confidence and purpose.

Here we are today and Ok, Gypsy still resonates with me.
“Ok” is what I say every day to my God as I surrender my will to His, in my heart and life.
“Gypsy” is how I see myself. I am a little eclectic in dress, taste and my love for living out of a suitcase on adventures or watching people's pets.

I hope that my words will point you to Christ and inspire you to shut off this screen, pick up a book and connect with the world around you. I am trying to live in daily surrender and with open eyes to experience the beauty that is around me every day. Ok, Gypsy is a place I hope you will feel welcome, cozy and find some rest. I am excited to be here with you.
