Beauty: A Poem

Inside matters,
Outside is seen,
One more look,
More time.

Fresh face,
To the nines,
Disheveled
On the inside.

Beauty is in the eyes,
Beholding what is
Perceived
From the outside.

Inside ignoring
Messes
Growing ugly,
Looking pretty.

Beauty is fleeting,
Eternally deceiving,
Internally blooming
Producer of life.

Beauty is rooted
Inside,
Reflected on the
Outside.

Only so much can be
Covered up
Through
Making it up.

Really, really lovely, Hannah! And so true! I talk a lot about women, in my writing and through the podcast. This is so great! I'm sitting here reading along and audibly saying "yessss!!!!"
